My clients have been living in this family house in Fót for 10 years, but the time has come for change. The current kitchen has been outgrown and the kids are growing, so an extra kid room is needed. That’s how we came up with the idea to expand the living room by 30 m2 at the expense of what is now a storage room; the kitchen to be a bedroom; and the upstairs study to convert into a girl’s room for their 9-year-old daughter.
In the first phase I design the kitchen, the rest of the rooms will follow. I tried to satisfy the needs: there should be a window between the upper and lower cabinets instead of tiles, and they want a large two-door refrigerator and a pantry. Planning is still ongoing and no decision has been made on which version to implement.
